Q. What size torch hose do i need.
A. Torch hose selection depends upon planned torch tip size. The I.D. (internal diameter) of hose used for most welding and cutting purposes ranges from 3/16-in. to 3/8-in. 3/16-in. hose is adequate for most cutting applications It is, of course, lighter and more flexible than 1/4-in. hose. However, when you need hose lines longer than 150-ft., or expect to do some fairly heavy cutting or heating, 1/4-in. hose is better, since at high flows there’s much less pressure drop in the larger hose.
Q. What size fittings do the Oxygen Acetylene hose reels have?
A. ”B”-size connections are used on most torches and regulators for oxygen and fuel gas. The thread sizes are thesame, but oxygen threads are right- hand, fuel gas threads are left-hand. The nipples are identical. ”B”-size nipples are available to accept 3/16-in., 1/4-in., 5/16-in., and 3/8-in. oxygen and acetylene hose.
